A COMMUNITY PROGRAM
A TESTING GROUND
WHAT IS AMPLIFY?
Amplify will select six projects into the first cohort of audio incubators to develop original programming through design collaboration, expert training, and mentorship from audio veterans.
The incubator runs over the course of 6 months, allowing each project to develop in a collaboration with their fellow producers and instructors.
3 Episode Pilot Run
Each project will produce at least three complete episodes as a pilot run for Amplify. When the Amplify run is finished, pilots will debut to the public and Amplify partners will find next steps for each project.
Each project must be of, by, or for the greater Washington D.C community. Meaning applicants and their projects must have an attachment to the community where these programs are being developed.
Each project must be able to be fully produce a pilot run of the program during the 6 month incubator program. Projects that require longer lead time or cannot reliably produce content will not be prioritized.
Each project must be the foundation of a sustainable audio program. Single pieces and one off audio documentaries will not be prioritized for Amplify.
Articulation of Need
Each project must be able to articulate how Amplify can help their project achieve things they otherwise couldn't. Projects solely looking for funding or exposure will not be prioritized.
