Some Times It Is an Option...
Failure is a podcast about the side of life we don’t like to talk about: our missteps, mistakes, and misfortunes. This show explores how these sometimes embarrassing, always difficult moments shape us and reveal more about us than any success. Told through true stories and real voices, Failure talks about times when we fall flat on our faces. Consider this your podcast to embrace our shortcomings and laugh with our most universal experience, failing. Success is overrated.
Host Caitlin Reilly is a story-teller and journalist in DC. She brings years of personal experience to Failure. Not audio experience, just subject-matter experience. She is the guiding voice of the faux pas, the ringmaster of missing the mark, and the commissar of downfall.
22 days, 9,000 miles, & the weird American dream
When Ian and Carlie decided to drive cross country in my 1999 Honda wagon, they had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Originally, they planned to record a podcast that told the stories of street musicians across America - who they were, what they played, and how they lived. And sure, they did that. They met amazing people and heard incredible music and learned a lot, and I hope you agree when you hear the show.
But as they began editing the 40+ hours of footage compiled, they realized that Revivalism was not only a story of the people we met along the way, it was also the story of two friends with a crazy idea and a real summertime chance to start making it a reality. The show has fighting and singing and eating and drinking, but underneath it all, it has an honest look at chasing the American Dream, and how doing so isn't really different for any of them.
